Poppy at 4 months

March 14th, 2009

Poppy, one of Gunnadorrah Tom Thumbs first foals is now 4 months old (just) and her colour continues to change.

Below are some new pictures of Poppy. She has an unusual face mask and colour banding, most noticeable on her neck, although you can also see it on her flanks and back of her legs…I don’t think they had Zebra at Gunnadorrah?

Poppy has a feisty but sweet temperament, we have just started taking her out on rides, in tow of course. Her mum, a thoroughbred mare, is enjoying going out for quiet rides, it must be good to get out of the paddock. It is very entertaining watching Poppy’s antics while out, and also looking for things to challenge her with, so far we have found that nothing fazes her.
